AMP’s Molecular Pathology Economics Summit is a one-day, highly interactive event.

The third AMP Economics Summit will be held on September 13th 2023.

AMP was happy to host this event, and wanted to get a broad range of input from the participants, including 60 people representing diagnostic manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies as well as trade associations, professional groups, clinical laboratories and patient advocacy groups. The Summit was split into three sessions. The first session focused on the perspectives of various stakeholders, including clinical laboratories, pharmaceutical firms, patient advocacy groups, diagnostic manufacturers, and diagnostic manufactures, as well as their respective approaches towards unique challenges related to molecular diagnosis coding, reimbursement, and coverage. These candid, interactive conversations explored potential barriers to patient access and possible solutions. AMP also held breakout session to identify shared policies priorities, which allowed stakeholders determine practical and applicable solution. Each of the groups presented several action items that stakeholders could implement by 2024. The third session was led by AMP and focused on the future of molecular pathsology, including artificial intelligence.
