Volunteers tapped trees, collected sap and invited the public to a pancake dinner. The proceeds from the sale of syrup were used to support the recreational activities and community facilities. Festivals were primarily a family-oriented event that was driven by the community in its early years.Traditions are importantThe tradition continues today thanks to the Sugar Bush, which produces the syrup. Shepherd Public Schools, which generously open their facilities for our events.Community SupportWe welcome you this year to the festival on behalf of the Sugar Bush Corporation and the Shepherd community. The committee has been working hard to maintain the festival's tradition. Our goal has remained the same.
